GGE-Biplot analysis of multienvironments yield trials of Egyptian cotton (Gossypium barbadense L.,)

چکیده

GGE biplot technique is one of the most appropriate methods for investigating genotype x environment interaction. A total twenty Egyptian cotton genotypes were tested to evaluate stability and adaptability during two agricultural years at four environments using randomized complete block design with six replications. The analysis variance showed that effect environments, years, genotypes, was highly significant lint yield / plot. Also, interaction due G Y E also significant. variation sum squares divided GEI 25.261 %, 0.574 36.660 % 3.396 respectively revealed maximum mean values in El-Gharbiya then Kafr El-Sheikh. Comparative performance through by (GEI) produced 2019 followed results first second principle components accounted 87.96 5.86 respectively, 93.82 variance. polygon view led identification top genotypes. Influence of Potassium Foliar Application on Cotton Yield (Gossypium barbadense L.) under Saline Condition

There is a lack of sufficient information on cotton responses to time and amount of foliar application of potassium (K) under salt stress environment, The objective of this study was to investigate the effects of potassium (as Solupotasse 50% K2O and 18% S) rate and application time on yield and yield components of cotton under saline field condition. A factorial experiment based on randomized ...

Graphical Analysis of Multi-Environment Trials for Barley Yield Using AMMI and GGE-Biplot Under Rain-Fed Conditions

The AMMI and SREG GGE   are among the models that effectively capture the additive and multiplicative components of genotype × environment interaction (GEI) and provide meaningful interpretation of multi-environment trials’ data set in the breeding programs. The objective of this study was to assess the effect of GEI on grain yield of barely advanced lines and exploit the positive GEI effect us...

Bayesian GGE biplot models applied to maize multi-environments trials.

The additive main effects and multiplicative interaction (AMMI) and the genotype main effects and genotype x environment interaction (GGE) models stand out among the linear-bilinear models used in genotype x environment interaction studies. Despite the advantages of their use to describe genotype x environment (AMMI) or genotype and genotype x environment (GGE) interactions, these methods have ...

Nucleic Acid Metabolism during Germination of Pima Cotton (Gossypium barbadense).

The nucleic acid metabolism in long staple Pima cotton (Gossypium barbadense L.) was examined during the first 48 hours of germination at 34 C. Specific activity analysis of pulselabeled nucleic acids indicated that the first significant incorporation of precursors into DNA occurs at approximately 18 hours when the radicles are emerging with a peak of incorporation occurring at 36 hours. Specif...

Effect of kinetin concentration and methods of application on seed germination, yield components, yield and fiber properties of the Egyptian cotton (Gossypium barbadense).

Two field experiments in 1993 and 1994 as well as a laboratory germination experiment were conducted on the Egyptian cotton cultivar Giza 75 (Gossypium barbadense) to determine the effect of six concentrations of kinetin (6-furfurylaminopurine) ranging from 0 to 10.0 mg l(-1) and three different methods of application: (A) seeds were soaked for 24 h before germination (laboratory experiment) or...
